Robert Whallon

Definition: American archaeologist Robert Whallon is best known for his substantial publications on computer applications in archaeology, particularly quantitative analysis; and as founder of the Journal of Anthropological Archaeology. Educated at the University of Chicago and currently professor at the Museum of Anthropology at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Whallon has conducted archaeological investigations concentrating on the European Paleolithic and Mesolithic.
