The mastodon tooth from Benjamin Franklin’s property is one of many cultural resources cared for by the Independence National Historical Park. Until 2008, Franklin’s mastodon tooth will be traveling the world as part of an exhibit created for the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary (the 300th anniversary of Franklin's birth).

This artifact spotlight was submitted by Patrice L. Jeppson -- the historical archaeology consultant to the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary Consortium.
