Definition: Bridget Allchin is a specialist on India and Pakistan, where she has conducted research for close to fifty years, on occasion with her husband F. R. Allchin. An active researcher in her own right, Allchin is currently co-Director (with her husband) of the British Archaeological Mission to Pakistan, and a fellow of Wolfson College at Cambridge.
