Definition: The Appenine culture is the name given to an Early Bronze Age culture in Italy, between about 1350-1150 BC. Named after the Appenine Mountains, the cultural traits are found all over the Italian peninsula. The people were mobile pastoralists (herders) with limited metallurgy and a terrific ceramic industry.
