Altun Ha is a small Maya site near the northern coast of Belize. Its earliest occupation begins during the Middle Formative period (about 800 BC) and continued fairly continuously untnil the Terminal Classic (AD 900-925). The site is best known for its association with Teotihuacan, the large pyramid complex city near Mexico city, which is demonstrated by a green-obsidian tomb offering of over 250 different pieces.
