Ban Chiang (Thailand)

Definition: The archaeological site of Ban Chiang is a Bronze Age village and cemetery site in Udon Thani province of Thailand, occupied between 3600 BC and AD 200 and with a modern village built on top. Excavations were conducted in the 1960s by Vidya Intakosai, and later by Chester F. Gorman and Pisit Charoenwongsa.
