Ban Na Di (Thailand)

By , About.com Guide

Definition: Ban Na Di is a Copper Age settlement and cemetery in Thailand (1313-903 BC), including sixty burials. Excavations of the site indicated evidence for social and gender stratification; female and male burials are treated differently and one contemporaneous section of the cemetery contained richer burial goods. The site is considered a transition site between Bronze and Iron Age, where the later burials include more bronze goods than earlier, and iron objects appear in the most recent burials.
