Beaker Folk

By , About.com Guide

Definition: The Beaker folk is the name given to a cultural group widespread throughout western Europe, from the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze age (4000-2000 BC). They were named by archaeologists after their distinctive ceramic vessels of the styles known as funnel-beaker, protruding-foot beaker, and bell beaker styles.
