Definition: The Besant-Sonota Complex is the name archaeologists have given to bison hunters in the American Great Plains states of South and North Dakota and Minnesota, and the Great Plains provinces of Manitoba and Sasketchewan in Canada, between zbout A.D. 1-800. They are thought to have practiced communal buffalo hunting.
