Bordesley Abbey (UK)

Definition: Bordesley Abbey is a Cistercian Medieval monastery complex, built in the 12th century AD in Warwickshire, England. Excavations at Bordesley have been conducted for over thirty years, most recently by Grenville Astill, Sue Hirst and Susan M Wright of the University of Reading. It is one of the most fully excavated of any monastery site to date, with excavated area of upwards of 35 acres.
