What's it Like? Experience Tells

From

Field Technician Nefertiti explains what her life is like:

I believe that everybody is born to do the job that has been waiting for them their entire lives. It's destiny, I guess you could call it. Well, for me, that job was archaeology. I didn't know it at first, but ever since I was a little girl, I've been fascinated with mummies and tombs and hieroglyphics and all the magic of the mighty queens and pharaohs that ruled over those majestic dynasties. The greatest civilization that ever existed.

As I grew older, I became even more fascinated with it. In grades 4 and 5, when other kids my age were taking books out of the library like Sweet Valley High or Goose Bumps, I was getting these huge books from the library about Egyptology and Egyptologist's stories. As I moved on to high school, I realized that this was my passion, this is what I was born to do along with my love for travelling, this seemed like a perfect job, by the time I was 10, I decided that I would travel the world, Europe, Asia, Mexico, South Africa, and most of all, Egypt. No place seemed more exotic and magical to me, I wanted to go there more than anything in the world. What other job could you spent traveling the world and seeing everything it has to offer? I couldn't.
