Chaco Canyon is an archaeological site of great beauty and mystery, important to the Anasazi and their descendents, still living in the Four Corners Region of the American Southwest.
Supernova in Chaco Canyon Rock Art: A Poem by Paul Young
In Chaco Canyon there is an unusual Anasazi rock painting, consisting of a hand print and the night sky. Although the date of the drawing has not been recorded, it is believed by many to represent the Crab Nebula supernova of AD 1054. "Chaco" is a poem by Paul Young inspired by the art and reprinted by permission.
