Pueblo Bonito- Chaco Canyon Great House Site Pueblo Bonito
Pueblo Bonito is an important ancestral puebloan site and one of the largest Great House sites in the Chaco Canyon region. It was constructed over a period of 300 years, between AD 850 and 1150-1200 and it was abandoned at the end of the 13th century.
Supernova in Chaco Canyon Rock Art: A Poem by Paul Young
In Chaco Canyon there is an unusual Anasazi rock painting, consisting of a hand print and the night sky. Although the date of the drawing has not been recorded, it is believed by many to represent the Crab Nebula supernova of AD 1054.
