The one-thousand-hand Goddess of Mercy sculpture is pictured at the Dazu Stone Carving Site on November 30, 2006 in Dazu County of Chongqing Municipality, China. The Dazu Stone carving, located northwest of Chongqing, is one of China's most important Buddhist Art sites, with more than 100,000 pieces left over from the Tang (618-907) and Song (960-1279) dynasties. The One-thousand-hand Goddess of Mercy sculpture is the masterpiece of the carvings and requires urgent restoration.
