Chernyakhov (Ukraine)

Definition: Chernyakhov is the name given to a Slavic village and cemetery in the Lower Danube region of Ukraine, dated to the 4th century AD. Excavated by Vykentyi V. Khvoika in the early decades of the 20th century, Chernyakhov is the type site for the Chernyakhov culture, between the 2nd century BC and the 5th century AD throughout Poland, Ukraine, and Moldavia. It is related to the Przeworsk culture.
