Definition: The Chincha was a small polity on the coast of Peru oriented to living on marine resources, from 1000 AD to 1476 when they were conquered by the Inca. The capital of the Chincha civilization was Tambo de Mora. The true extent of the Chincha isn't clear yet; they may have been as large and extensive as Chimú.
