Definition: Crickley Hill is an important Neolithic and Iron Age site in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. The Iron Age fort covers an area of approximately nine acres. The most interesting thing about Crickley Hill is the evidence for increasing violence through the Iron Age occupation, identified by an increase in defense structures over time, two separate dense scatters of arrowheads, and final abandonment of the site.
