Time Team America excavates at New Philadelphia

Laurance Johnson
New Philadelphia is the site of an historic and now completely abandoned and empty town, established by Free Frank McWorter in the early 19th century, after he bought himself and his family out of slavery in Kentucky. Time Team America visited the field school led by Christopher Fennel and Anna Agbe-Davies in June 2008, and the program aired on July 22, 2009.
