Hughes H. Jones Site (Pennsylvania, USA)

Definition: The Hughes H. Jones Site (36Gr4) is a Late Prehistoric Monongahela Tradition (c. A.D. 1000–1640) habitation site located in Pennsyvlania. Recent radiocarbon dates place the site in the late 11th and early 12th centuries. The site includes settlement data in the form of dwelling outlines, below ground storage facilities, and extensive faunal and floral remains (including maize)d.

Several field seasons have been conducted at Hughes H. Jones, as field schools run by the California University of Pennsylvania.
