Reindeer Herd and Nenets Herders

Reindeer were domesticated only about three thousand years ago. The original domesticators probably were ancestors of Yuri Khudi and the Nenets or a group very much like them, nomads in the Eurasian arctic who exploit the reindeer for milk, meat, hair, and, of course, transport.
