AUB - Berytus 39 - Tophet
Nicely long article from Berytus by Helga Seeden of the Museum of London Archaeology Service, results of 1991 excavations by the Department of Antiquities of Lebanon, on what must be the most famous Phoenician site.

SIDON excavation
Bronze through Hellenistic period site 20 km south of Beirut, and an important city of the ancient Canaanite and Phoenician people. Also has a Flash version of this page that I found a little difficult to navigate, but pretty.

Excavation of a Roman and Byzantine bathing complex in downtown Beirut; an article in assemblage.

Iron Age Cemetery of BEY 018
An Iron Age cemetery, excavated by Barbara Stuart and Hans H. Curvers of the University of Amsterdam.

Places in Lebanon - Baalbak
A Roman temple above the Beqaa plain; this site has several excellent photographs, quicktime movies, and a little text.

Beirut - Archaeology
An archive of news stories and professional articles on the archaeological data recovered from the reconstruction of Beirut, from Al Mashriq.

Sidon (Lebanon) - Phoenician City State and Harbor Sidon
The archaeological site of Sidon includes the ruins of what was an important city-state of the Iron Age civilization of Phoenicia also called Canaan, and the center port for trade between Assyria, Egypt, Cyprus and the Aegean Sea between the sixth and fifth centuries BC.
