The Mali Interactive Project, led by Roderick McIntosh and Susan Keech McIntosh of Rice University, conducted archaeological research at the site of Jenn�-jeno in 1997, documented in detail on this website.

The McIntoshes maintained an open web site during their January 1997 field investigations at Jenne-Jeno, and one of the first to do such a thing.

Mosque, Komio, Mali
