Group IV makes up the west side of the main plaza, just next to the North platform. This is a closed ceremonial complex similar to Group M, with the typical Temple-Altar-Patio complex. The platform temple has a large stairways flanked by balustrades, with various superimposed levels. The main building, Building K, presents the typical Zapotec architectural motif called Doble Escapulario (Scapular Panel). Niches are located along the stairway and were probably used to place offerings.
The entrance is from the main plaza and leads to the patio where the altar stands. On top of the main building there is a series of columns. This probably constituted a restricted place where ceremonies took place.
