Some of the thousands of revelers celebrate the summer solstice at Stonehenge on June 21 2008 in Wiltshire, England. Prolonged rain and cloud cover meant that the sun did not shine on the traditional and annual celebrations to mark the longest day at the ancient monument.
The sunrise didn't permit any fabulous environmental photographs in 2008, but I suspect this is what most of solstice day is like every year at Stonehenge: a huge raucous party.
