Non Pa Wai (Thailand)

Definition: The Bronze Age mining site of Non Pa Wai is located near Lopburi in central Thailand. The site includes nearly 5 hectares in area and is one of the largest prehistoric copper works in Asia. Recent excavation in the region have been conducted by a joint Italian/Thai project called the Lopburi Regional Archaeological Project directed by Roberto Ciarla at l'Istituto Italiano per l'Africa e l'Oriente.
