Ancient Egypt: Old Kingdom

The first great flowering of the ancient Egyptian civilization was called the Old Kingdom, including the third through sixth dynasties, pharaohs such as Djoser, Snefru, Chops, Cheprehn, Pepy I and II, and important pyramids on the Giza Plateau.
