Pausanias the Traveler [115-180 AD]

Definition: The Greek travel writer Pausanias left us a lasting legacy with his guide book to the civilizations, written during the 2nd century AD. Pausanias wrote descriptions of the festivals, buildings and people in mainland Greece during the height of the Roman period, which are enormously useful to archaeologists and enormously interesting to all lovers of the past.
