Pen'kovka Culture

By , About.com Guide

Definition: The Pen'kovka culture is a 6th and 7th century AD Slavic culture located in the Lower Danube region of the Ukraine republic. Historical documents fix the people associated with the Pen'kovka culture as a group called the Antes, who lived in semisubterranean dwellings. They apparently developed out of the Chernyakhov culture.
