Definition: French archaeologist Christian Pilet (CRAHM, Université de Caen) has investigated the cemeteries of Medieval Normandy for the past thirty years. Two major works include the sites of Saint-Martin-De-Fontenay and Frenouville. The reports include mortuary studies of the small villages in the Calvados region of France and are considered among the best studies of Medieval France.
