Quebrada de Santo Domingo, Peru

Definition: The archaeological site called Quebrada de Santo Domingo is along a very scenic 32 square kilometer long dry river valley off the Rio Moche in Peru. Along this river bed are geoglyphs depicting animals, people, hunting scenes and complex spirals, and dated between 5000 B.C to 600 A.D. The site is endangered by ongoing development in the area.
