Red Tower (Israel)

Definition: The Red Tower, Palestine, also known as al-Burj al Ahmar, is a small castle built during the crusades in the central Sharon Plain of Palestine, and occupied by the Crusaders between AD 1099-1265. Recent excavations have been conducted at the Red Tower by Denys Pringle and the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem.
