Definition: H. Russell Robinson was an expert in Roman armor, and curator at the Royal Armouries of Britain. His most important work for archaeologists is in his reconstruction of plate body armor; he published several well-respected books on armor from various cultures and civilizations. (I can't find any biographical data on Robinson, so he may be alive, in which case I apologize for the past tense).
