Rudabánya (Hungary)

Definition: The paleontological site of Rudabánya, Hungary has been dated to the Miocene epoch of some 9-10 million years ago. Among the many fossils recovered from the site is a nearly complete cranium of one of our most important primate ancestors, Dryopithecus.
