Definition: The Sa Huynh Culture is the name given to an urnfield (jar burials) culture on the coastal plains of central and south Vietnam. The culture dates roughly the same time as the Dong Son culture (circa 1000 BC-200 AD), but with a distinctive decorative style of bronze axes, daggers, and ornaments. Sa Huynh is also the name of the type site, located south of Da Nang.
