Sonoran Agricultural Complex

Definition: In most places around the world, agriculture was invented using a suite of plants, in the new world, this suite include corn (maize), squash and bottle gourds, beans, cotton, and various other plants. The Sonoran Agricultural Complex is the general name given to the suite of crops grown in the American southwest and documented in sites such as Bat Cave beginning about 4,000-3,500 BP.
