By , About.com Guide

Definition: The archaeological site of Ust-Mil 2 is a Dyuktai cultural site located on the Aldan River in the Yakutia region of Siberia. The early Paleolithic site is one of the earliest of the Dyuktai culture, and considered a likely precursor to the first inhabitants of the American continents. Most sources use West's date of 30,000-35,000 years ago, but according to Russian scholars, the site has been recently radiocarbon dated to 24,300-23,500 BP.
