The Reykholt project from the University of Iceland is focused on the archaeology and environmental analysis of the Norse (and later) occupations at Reykholt in Iceland.

The Viking Ship Museum has archaeological remnants of five 11th century Viking ships excavated from the Roskilde fjord (the Skuldelev Ships); and reconstructions of all of them are on display. The Sea Stallion from Glendalough, based on the longship called Skuldelev 2, is the most recently completed.
