From the article: Time Team Archaeology
Time Team and Time Team America are an unusual form of public archaeology, combining reality television with the generally slow process of archaeology. But is it an accurate display of archaeology, and does it do justice to the science? What do you think? Share Your Opinion
Time Team UK
- I adore Time Team UK but have found the same program set in the USA to be tedious and insipid without the colourful and eccentric characters of the UK program. Shame the illustrator has gone from the series and economies have meant fewer original programmes. Would love to see it go for another 20 years.

Not very engaging
- I'm a faithful Canadian watcher of the UK show. Saw last season's American version on PBS Buffalo. Seemed crushingly boring, particpants seemed uninformed about basic stuff like lithic technology, repeatedly explained concepts like C14 dating in each episode, dumbed down discussions, miss the differences of opinion in the pub. What should have been fantastic opportunity to get into the details of dig sites in the USA just seemed flat. The music really sucks. But, still, better than a poke in the eye. At least the material isn't sensationalized like some shows on the History Channel are.

Their 'Time' seems to end at Bronze Age
- I'd love to see them dig up some really old stuff, going right back into the Acheulian, for instance... I believe really ancient prehistory tells us more about ourselves than recent history which tends to be seen through a lens of political history...fine if you're interested in politics, but what if you're interested in man?

Ideas
- Lose the theme song, it is way too wimpy. Jazz it up some. Where are the arguments? Time Team has great arguments. These guys are afraid to face off. The narrator needs to spend less time drawing and more time running between sights like the narrator of Time Team does. The show needs some excitement, especially when you have yet to find anything exciting. Other than that I like the show and hope that you continue for many years to highlight the importance of archaeology.

From outside USA
- In Sydney Australia we get the parent time Team program from UK. My wife and I plan our Tuesdays so we don't missit. I enjoy the interplay of characters and scientific research as a retired scientific worker myself. I hope we see Time Team USA.

Yes and no..
- On one hand I thought last weeks program was great..It really got into some of the really detailed minutia that go with lithics.. On the other hand, archaeology is not a slow process at all, at least in CRM. mWe have limited budgets and deadlines.
