From the article: Top 10 Mexican Archaeological Sites You Don’t Want to Miss
Nicoletta has listed her top ten archaeological sites in Mexico that the visitor shouldn't miss. Do you have a favorite? Tell us what site or sites you would pick for your list and why! My Favorite Mexican Site
Xunantunich
- I've visited this place four times now and enjoy it more every time. There are some ruins, but more than that, Xunantunich bills itself as an archaeological theme park. There's a great beach with snorkeling, a butterfly farm, a recreation of a Mayan village with a daily show, and my favorite part - an underground river that flows through several cenotes that you can float along (with complementary life-jacket). There are several animal exhibits. Xunantunich is an easily reachable tourist exhibit and a favorite for Cruise Ships docking at Costa Maya.

Teotihuacan
- I could spend years wandering around Teotihuacan and never get bored. My favorite building is the Temple of the Butterfly Quetzal (Quetzalpapalotl Temple) with all of its murals and sculptures. Plus I never get tired of walking up and down (and up and down and up and down) the avenues, and I love the gift shop. And the view from the Pyramid of the Sun is amazing.
